What if failure is the point? Confessions of a scientist

Science doesn't advance because scientists never fail. It advances because they know what to do with failure.
We celebrate discoveries but often forget that they stand on the shoulders of failed experiments, rejected hypotheses, and wrong turns. In this event, our team memebers Ariba Khan and Ginevra Bellini will share the stories behind the science and discuss why making mistakes is not the opposite of doing good science.
Together we'll explore why error isn't a flaw in science but one of its most powerful tools for discovery. Whether you're a student, researcher, or simply curious about how science really works, you'll leave with a new appreciation for what it means to "get it wrong."
For this event we'll be hosted by a beloved small business in Berlin: Metis Books and Café. The owners will prepare a curated selection of books that will be on sale throughout the event, since every good mistake deserves a good story.
Expect honest stories, surprising examples, and a conversation about what science really looks like behind the scenes.
